A single large red daisy fills the square, seen straight on, with its petals radiating out from a round lime-green centre. The petals are long and rounded at the tips, layered in shades from bright orange-red to deep crimson, and several run right to the edges of the canvas.
The background is a flat, mottled apple green that makes the red look vivid. Brushstrokes are visible in every petal, with darker maroon streaks near the base and lighter orange highlights along the edges. The centre is dabbed on thickly in yellow and green, and the canvas weave shows through. A dark signature sits in the lower right corner.
