A wide blue-hour photograph of the Seine in Paris. On the left, a long cream stone building with tall arched windows, a large round clock face and a dark slate roof glows under warm lamps. A low stone quay wall runs along the water's edge, curving gently toward the centre of the frame.
The river fills the lower half, a deep navy surface streaked with vertical gold reflections from the lights along the bank. A footbridge crosses in the distance, and a glass-roofed hall rises faintly on the far side. The sky is a clear, darkening blue, and the long exposure leaves the water silky and still.
