About Seoul City Lights
An elevated night photograph looks down over a Seoul intersection, with a broad avenue running from the lower edge into the distance. Long-exposure traffic has turned into continuous ribbons of amber and white light that curve around a central junction and spread across side roads. Two tall twin towers stand right of centre, their façades stippled with lit windows, while a dark, ribbed high-rise fills the left foreground. Behind them the low city stretches to the horizon under a cobalt sky brushed with pink and orange cloud at sunset.
Colour does the work here: cool blue shadow across the buildings against warm gold streaming through the streets. It reads as a busy, energetic city picture with a calm sky holding it together.
Suits a living room, hallway or home office with darker walls, black metal shelving and leather or charcoal upholstery. The amber light lines pick up brass lamps and timber, while the blue sky sits well beside navy or grey paint. Works above a sideboard or behind a desk where a wide horizontal image balances the furniture. Browse more blue art, brown and earthy art, or read Art above the bed: what size and how high.
