About World of Colours
A single large circle sits centred on a flat teal-green ground, filling most of the square canvas with a narrow border of plain colour around it. Inside the circle the paint has been poured and tilted so that colours bleed into one another: hot magenta and pink across the upper left, deep navy blue at the top right and along the left edge, and broad sweeps of white running diagonally through the middle. Acid yellow-green blooms appear as soft-edged blobs, the largest at lower left.
A band of bright green traces the right-hand rim, and violet and purple pool along the bottom curve with a small flare of orange near the centre. The surface reads as smooth and glossy, with feathered edges where wet colour met wet colour rather than brush marks. The character is bold and playful, a planet-like disc of high-key colour that works as a single strong note in a plain room.
Suits a white or pale grey wall in a living room, hallway or open kitchen where the teal ground can breathe. Works above a low sideboard, in a child's or teen's room, or in a home office.
