About Vivid
A square canvas of soft colour washes broken by a curtain of running paint. The upper left drifts from lemon yellow into peach and pale aqua, while the lower left settles into lilac and denim blue. From the right-hand side a broad band of hot magenta pours downward in dozens of thin vertical runs, its top edge left bare white. A wedge of chrome yellow and acid green sits at the centre, dripping into deep indigo and violet along the bottom edge.
Two long white drips fall the full height of the canvas at the left, cutting across the misty blues. The paint is thin and fluid, blended wet-into-wet so the background colours have no visible brush marks, while the drips read as raised threads over the top. The character is bright and energetic, a clean pop-bright abstract built on gravity rather than gesture.
Suits a white or pale grey wall in a living room, hallway or teenager's bedroom, where the magenta can carry the whole room's colour. Works above a low timber sideboard or a plain linen sofa, with cushions picking up the aqua or yellow. The larger squares hold their own in an open-plan space.
