A spiral-clipped yew topiary stands in the centre of the image, its dense green foliage shaped into tiers that wind upward to a small rounded tip. It sits in a wide, pale terracotta pot with a shallow rim, shaded softly on one side to give the form weight.
The tree sits on a sheet of cracked, aged parchment in warm yellow and ochre, with a rough torn edge and a darker brown crackled border. Faint sepia sketches of an arch, a pediment, column capitals, an urn and a statue sit behind it. The words "CLIPPED YEW" are printed below the pot. The look is a muted, antique illustration.
