About Splashing Cork I
A green champagne bottle rises from the lower edge of the frame, tilted slightly, its shoulder and neck beaded with condensation and streaked with foam. The cork, pale tan with a darker stained base, hangs in mid-air just above the neck, still trailing a column of liquid. Spray fans out either side in fine droplets and ragged threads, caught sharply against a black upper background that fades down through grey to clean white behind the bottle body.
The wired green collar and torn foil edge sit right at the point of release, so the whole picture reads as a single split second. It is a crisp, high-contrast photograph with a celebratory charge and no clutter at all.
Suits kitchens, dining rooms, bar areas and cellar nooks, and works in a home office or entry where a vertical wall needs filling. The black-to-white background sits well against white splashback tiles, dark timber joinery or a charcoal feature wall, and pairs with glassware shelving or other drink and food photographs.
