Two owl wings are drawn open and facing each other, left and right of centre, with a wide gap of blank paper between them. Each wing is rendered in fine grey pencil-style lines, with soft shaded feathers near the shoulder and long, thin flight feathers fanning out to pointed tips.
The background is a mottled cream and tan, like aged paper, darkening to brown stained edges at the corners. Below the wings, in small grey italic script, sit the words "Owl Wings". The look is a vintage natural-history illustration, quiet and muted, with no colour beyond sepia, grey and cream.
