A weathered timber jetty runs straight from the bottom edge towards the middle of the frame, its planks narrowing to a point. Wire mesh is laid over the boards, and rubber tyres hang along both sides as fenders. Rounded wooden posts mark the edges, creating a strong central line that pulls the eye outward.
The water is long-exposure smooth, with no ripples and only faint pink and violet tones near the shore. Low hills sit along the far horizon, softened by haze. The sky is pale lilac fading to near white. It is a quiet photograph in muted blues, mauves and grey-browns, with very little contrast.
