A photograph of a small rocky headland covered in pine and spruce, sitting at the edge of a lake. The trees run from pale green on the sunlit crown to dark blue-green behind, with a few bare grey trunks showing between them. Lichen-streaked rock and a thin line of stones mark the waterline.
The lower half is a near-perfect mirror image. The water is so still that the headland repeats in soft, slightly smeared greens, olive and brown, fading into deep navy and slate blue at the bottom edge. A steep wooded hillside rises behind the point, and the muted, overcast light keeps the palette cool and quiet.
