A sepia-toned photograph looks across a still lake from a wooden jetty. Two small rowboats sit moored in the lower left, with oars resting across the seats. The nearest boat is cropped by the left edge, while the second sits in the middle of the frame, its hull pale against the dark water.
The jetty runs up the right side in plank lines that lead the eye towards the far shore. Rounded hills and clusters of trees sit along the horizon, mirrored softly in the water. A bright sun glows low behind the ridge, washing the sky and lake in warm cream and deep chocolate browns.
