About Storm Clouds
The frame is filled entirely with sky. Heavy charcoal cloud masses crowd the upper corners, their undersides almost black, while softer grey sheets stretch diagonally across the centre. Below them a scattered line of smaller, rounded cumulus sits low, catching pale cream and muted yellow light along the horizon band at the base. A faint brightness glows through the cloud on the upper right, where the hidden sun thins the grey to silver. No land, water or horizon line is visible, only layered vapour.
The character is quiet and weather-driven rather than dramatic. Tonally it stays within charcoal, slate and silver, with the one warm yellow seam at the bottom giving the image its sense of distance and late light.
Suits a living room above a low sofa, a bedroom over the bedhead, or a home office where a calm, neutral image is wanted. The charcoal and silver tones sit well with grey linen, pale timber, concrete-look surfaces and black metal frames. Wide sizes work well on long horizontal walls above sideboards.
