About Summer Shower I
A square abstract built from soft curved blocks of colour. Deep cobalt and teal gather through the centre and upper left, shaped like rounded boulders or heavy cloud, while thin vertical lines run down through them like rain on glass. Cream and pale sand sweep across the lower third in wide curved bands, lifting at the right edge. Smaller blue ovals sit at the lower left, one almost black-blue at its core. Mossy green washes bleed across the top edge.
The mood is wet and cool, like a downpour passing over open country. Colour pools and runs rather than sits still, giving the square a quiet sense of movement.
Works in a bathroom or ensuite where the blues echo tile and water, and in a bedroom above a bed with white or oatmeal linen. The cream bands settle it against limewash, pale timber and sisal. Good in a beach house hallway, or hung as a single square over a sideboard with ceramics in blue and sand tones.
