About Summer Sky II
A square landscape where the sky takes roughly three quarters of the picture. Pale blue shows at the top left corner and along the upper edge, while a broad bank of cream, soft apricot and warm ivory cloud fills the centre and right. Near the base a low horizon runs across: a ridge of teal, sage and muted purple trees, with small dashes of dark green and a rust orange mark at the left. Below that, open ground spreads in lime, olive and pale yellow bands.
Colour is laid in flat, loosely blocked shapes with visible woven canvas texture showing through the thinner passages. The mood is calm and warm, a quiet summer afternoon reduced to a few soft horizontal bands and one big sky. A small artist's monogram sits in the lower right corner.
Suits bedrooms, living rooms and home offices where the palette is already light. Works above a bed with white or oatmeal linen, over a pale timber sideboard, or in a beach house hallway.
