A pale dirt lane curves from the lower left into the distance, striped with bright sun and blue-grey shadow. Tall, slim pine trunks line both sides, their canopies of green needles touched with amber and rust. Fallen orange leaves collect along the verges and across the track in the foreground.
Beyond the trees, rows of crops and olive-green scrub run across the valley towards two small farmhouses with terracotta roofs. A ridge of pale, chalky rock rises behind them under a blue sky with soft white cloud. The thick, textured brushwork reads as a palette-knife style painting, with heavy strokes in the foliage and path.
