A square-rigged sailing ship fills the right half of this portrait image, seen from the front and slightly side-on. Its grey-green sails billow out in tiers on three masts, and the timber hull is a warm brown with a bowsprit pointing out to the right. White foam breaks around the bow as it pushes through the swell.
Above it the sky is thick with cloud, glowing yellow and apricot where the sun breaks through at the upper left, then fading to olive grey and teal at the corners. A flock of about a dozen white seabirds is scattered across the middle of the sky. A second, smaller ship sits pale and hazy near the horizon at left. The surface has the loose, visible brushwork of an oil-style seascape.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
