Three round trees stand in a row near the middle of the picture, each with a soft, dark crown of speckled brown and rust on a thin black trunk. The edges of the foliage are blurred and grainy, as if dissolving into the air. They sit evenly spaced along a low horizon.
The sky is a wash of amber and apricot at the top that fades to a pale, milky white near the horizon, with a thin streak of light blue along the skyline. Below, a broad field of burnt orange and deep brown fills the lower third, with a hint of dark green at the right. The canvas weave shows through the layered, scumbled paint texture.
