A tiger sits with its back to the viewer, shown from directly behind and slightly above. The ears are rounded and dark, and the stripes run in tight black bands down the spine, widening across the haunches. The upper body is warm orange and amber, while the hind legs and rump shift to cool blue-grey with sweeping black stripes.
The tail curls forward between the back legs and ends in a black tip. Below it, a cluster of orange blossoms seems to fade into the ground. The background is a soft wash of pale green, cream and yellow, with grey-blue drips and streaks at the lower left and right edges. The surface looks mottled and layered like a textured painting.
