About Weathered Wall
The canvas is filled with vertical columns of sepia and chocolate brown that appear to have been poured and allowed to run down a pale cream ground. Within the darker passages, faint rectangular grid lines show through like the courses of brickwork or peeling render on an old wall. The left edge fades into a soft, sandy wash with granular speckling, while the right side breaks into rectangular blocks of ivory divided by thin dark seams. A blue-white sliver of untouched canvas runs along the top corners.
The effect is closer to a stain or watermark than a drawn image, and the whole surface stays quiet and tonal, with no bright colour anywhere. It reads as a study in erosion: time, damp and pigment moving down a flat surface.
Suits rooms where the palette is already neutral: a living room with linen sofas and oak floors, a bedroom above a timber bedhead, or a hallway with limewashed walls. It pairs well with rattan, aged leather, unglazed ceramics and brass lamps, and works as a single quiet piece rather than part of a busy gallery wall.
