About White Petals
A single white bloom sits at the top of the canvas, its narrow petals fanning out in thick strokes of white and pale grey with a small olive leaf tucked behind the stem. The thin dark stem drops into a tall, slim vase that narrows towards its base, painted in bronze and deep brown with a raised scrolling leaf motif pressed into the surface. Behind it, the background is built from overlapping rectangles of rust red, terracotta, brick and cream, each panel carrying its own scratched or stamped pattern.
The overall effect is warm and quietly decorative, with the pale flower reading as the one bright note against layers of heavy red-brown texture.
Suits warm interiors with timber, leather or terracotta tones: a dining room sideboard, an entry hall, or above a bedhead in a room with cream or clay-coloured walls. Pairs with brass lamps, rattan and dark timber furniture. The vertical shape works well in narrow wall spaces between windows or beside a doorway.
