Clumps of pale green and straw-coloured grass fill the right side and foreground, all leaning in the same direction as if a steady onshore wind is pushing them over. The blades are fine and slightly blurred at the tips, which gives a soft sense of movement against the still sand below.
Above the dunes the sky takes up more than half the frame, with clouds washed in apricot, salmon and soft lilac over a dusty blue. A thin band of pale turquoise sea sits low on the left horizon. The overall look is a soft, muted photograph with a gentle, hazy finish.
