About Wine on Table
Two dark green wine bottles stand on a pale pine tabletop against a near-black background. The taller bottle behind wears a cream label with loose, illegible script and a gold foil neck; the front bottle has a crimson capsule and a larger aged label reading something like "RUFFI". A tall glass at right holds wine to the halfway mark, its bowl catching a white highlight; a second glass at lower left is filled deeper, its stem casting a long reflection across the boards. A brass corkscrew and a used cork lie between them.
The planks run diagonally in strokes of yellow ochre and cream, with knots picked out in small brown circles. The painting keeps a quiet, tavern-lit mood: warm timber and dark glass, nothing arranged too neatly.
Suits a dining room, a wine nook or the wall beside a bar cart, and works in restaurants and cellar doors. The black background reads well against white or grey walls, while the ochre tabletop picks up oak furniture, leather chairs and brass fittings. Pair it with a second small still life or shelves of glassware. Browse more all hand-painted oil paintings, How to care for an oil painting.
