A long-exposure photograph of the Melbourne skyline at dusk, looking across the Yarra River. Glass towers stand in the middle distance, their windows lit warm yellow and cool blue. The tallest buildings carry bright crowns of light. To the left, a gothic stone spire and a domed building glow in amber floodlight among palm trees.
A stone arch bridge crosses the right of the frame, with light trails from traffic streaking along its deck. The river in the foreground carries soft orange and gold reflections from the embankment lights. Above, the sky shifts from deep blue to lilac, with wispy cloud softened by the long exposure. The mood is calm, cool and warm in balance.
