About Amber Profile Abstract
A stylised head in profile occupies the upper left, drawn in thin dark line over a dark brown mass dotted with rows of gold beads. A large gold hoop earring holds a pale blue stone, and a small green ornament sits in the hair. Behind the figure the ground shifts from hot orange-red down through yellow to a cream band, with a magenta column at the top right carrying three amber discs. Red spirals and ruled black lines float across the middle.
The lower half is a broad field of scraped red with white and orange streaks, interrupted by a blue-grey column, a small blue cylinder and a black cross-marked square. Paint is laid on with a knife in flat drags, so the surface keeps ridges and bare scrape marks. The character is bold and graphic, part figure study, part geometry, with heat in the colour and a calm, deliberate arrangement of shapes.
Works in a living room or hallway with white or grey walls, where the red field can carry the space. Pairs with timber furniture, black metal frames, woven baskets and plain linen.
