A single zebra stands in profile, facing left, with its head lowered and ears pricked. Its stripes are dark brown-black on cream, drawn with a loose, textured edge. The body sits in the middle of the frame and the legs fade into pale streaks, so the animal looks partly dissolved into the scene behind it.
Behind the zebra, flat geometric shapes in teal, deep green, charcoal and sand overlap like cut paper. A white and pale blue waterfall pours down the left side and spreads across the middle in scratchy, dry-brush marks. At the bottom a navy block holds a faint dark reflection of the zebra's rear legs. The mix of crisp shapes and scraped texture gives it a layered collage look.
