Each portrait takes about 4 to 6 weeks, allowing time for painting, your approval and delivery. Short on time? A gift certificate lets them send the photo later.
A good dog portrait is all in the details: the tilt of the ears, the grey coming through on the muzzle, the look they give you at dinner time. Our artists paint every dog portrait by hand from the photo you send, so those details come from your dog, not a filter or a template.
Kelpies and cattle dogs, cavoodles and spoodles, labradors, greyhounds, staffies and mixed breeds with no name at all: if you have a clear photo, we can paint them.

What photo of my dog works best?
A clear, well-lit photo taken at your dog’s eye level, where you can see both eyes and the shape of the ears. Phone photos are fine. If you’re unsure, upload it anyway and we’ll tell you if it will work.
Can you paint any breed, including mixed breeds?
Yes. Our artists paint every breed and every mix. Markings, coat texture and colour come straight from your photos, so add a second or third photo if one doesn’t show everything.
Which style suits a dog portrait?
Realism stays closest to your photo and is the most popular. Impressionist uses looser, visible brushwork. Pop Art uses bold, bright colour.
Can you paint my dog with another pet or a person?
Yes, up to four subjects in one painting, even from separate photos. See two pet portraits for how that works.
How long does it take?
Allow about 4 to 6 weeks from your deposit to delivery, covering painting, your approval rounds, stretching and delivery. For Christmas, please order by 10 November.
