What photo of my cat works best?
Natural light and a photo taken at your cat’s eye level, with both eyes in focus. Avoid flash, which changes eye colour. Send a second photo if the first doesn’t show their markings clearly.
Can you get my cat’s eye colour right?
Eyes are where our artists spend the most time. Tell us the true colour in the notes if the photo shows it differently, and you can ask for changes on your proof before anything is finished.
Which style suits a cat portrait?
Realism stays closest to your photo. Impressionist uses looser, visible brushwork. Pop Art uses bold, bright colour, which suits black and ginger cats especially well.
Can you paint two cats, or a cat and a dog, together?
Yes, up to four pets in one painting, even from separate photos. See two pet portraits.
How long does it take?
Allow about 4 to 6 weeks from your deposit to delivery, covering painting, your approval rounds, stretching and delivery. For Christmas, please order by 10 November.
