About Orchard Harvest Glow
A loose heap of apples and round fruit runs across the middle of the canvas, painted in scarlet, orange and buttery yellow with a few darker plum-toned shapes at the left and a green-black leaf near the centre right. The fruit is only half described: edges melt into the surrounding paint, and a single yellow apple just right of centre keeps its stem and a lit shoulder. Behind it, deep cobalt blue fills the upper left, while warm ochre and rust cover the right side.
The paint is dragged and scraped in broad horizontal strokes, with squared patches of white and pale grey cut through the background like blocks of light. Below the fruit a band of teal, brown and cream suggests a table without drawing one. It reads as a still life caught mid-blur, warm and unfussy, with colour doing most of the work.
Suits a dining room wall above a sideboard, a kitchen with timber benchtops, or a breakfast nook. The cobalt and rust sit well with oak, rattan and linen in oatmeal or clay tones. Hang it over a long table to pull warm reds into a room that is otherwise neutral or grey. Browse more abstract oil paintings, blue art.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
