About Vintage Motorcycle on Parchment
A single vintage motorcycle sits side-on across a wide panoramic canvas, filling the frame from the front wheel at left to the rear mudguard at right. The tank, engine casing and exhaust are worked in rust reds, browns and chalky white, with olive green picked out along both mudguards and the spoked wheels. Behind it the ground is a washed layer of ochre and burnt orange, and the upper background carries pale parchment tones with faint lines of printed script and soft rectangular blocks, like aged paper collaged behind the bike.
Brushwork is loose and scraped back, so paint breaks over the weave and reads as corrosion on metal. The character here is quiet and worn rather than showroom polished, a machine left to age and still holding its shape.
Suits a long wall above a sideboard, a hallway run, a home office or a garage-style bar area. The rust and ochre palette works with leather lounges, exposed brick, raw timber and black steel shelving. Hang it wide over a low console so the panoramic shape has room to stretch out.
