About Golden Treeline Abstract
Six slender maroon trunks rise across the lower half of the image, each branching into thin forked limbs that disappear into a band of deep plum and burgundy. Behind them the canvas is built from flat rectangular blocks of tangerine, marigold, apricot and pale cream, stacked like a skyline and broken by a strip of soft aqua sky along the top edge. At the left, one tree carries a cluster of round lime and olive dots for foliage, the only detailed leaf shape in the scene.
The ground reads as a wash of dusty lilac, pink and grey with vertical drips running down from the tree line, as though the colour has been pulled downward with a wide blade. Edges are squared and unblended, so the whole picture sits between a landscape and a colour study. Its character is warm and graphic: bright autumn heat held in place by the calm, cool base beneath it.
The orange and yellow blocks give warmth to a neutral living room, so it works above a linen sofa or a sideboard in oak or walnut. The lilac base keeps it from overheating a bedroom wall. Good in a home office or beach house hallway, paired with rattan, brass lamps and plain white or grey walls.
