About Earth & Sky II
Horizontal bands ripple across this portrait canvas like a cross-section of coast and cliff. The top is pale aqua meeting a crusted white-grey crest, then a curving ridge of milk-chocolate brown and dry sand. Below that a deep turquoise band sweeps down and rises again, followed by a wide chalky white-lilac stripe scored with fine vertical lines. Lower down, ochre and tan curve over a soft powder blue, a dark ink-blue trough, and finally a flat band of pale sage green at the base.
The artwork shows heavy surface relief throughout: gritty, cracked textures in the white crest, ridged combing in the turquoise trough and smoother matt areas in the sand tones. Its character is calm and grounded, with just enough colour lift from the teal to keep it lively rather than quiet.
Suits beach houses, coastal bedrooms and bathrooms, and contemporary living rooms with white or sand-coloured walls. It pairs with rattan, linen bedding, pale timber and brushed brass, and sits well above a bedhead or a low sideboard. The teal band gives a colour cue for cushions, ceramics or a jute rug.
