A loose square-ish mass of watercolour sits centred on a clean white ground. Cool grey-blue washes pool through the middle, overlaid with brighter violet and lavender shapes that have hard, water-dried edges. Black blots sit inside the purple, some sharp and beetle-like, others feathered where the pigment spread while wet. Warm crimson and rose enter from the right side and drop again along the bottom, forming lobed puddles with darker rings where the colour dried at the rim. Fine spatter dots scatter across the lower centre.

The character is unplanned and fluid: colour allowed to run, bloom and stop where it chose, with the white paper left open around the edges so the mass floats rather than fills the square. It reads as quiet and cool overall, with the red intrusions giving it a sudden jolt of heat.
