About Azure Land I
A tall, narrow composition shows six slim tree trunks rising from a low green bank beside still water. The trunks are thin lines of warm brown, bare for most of their height, breaking into loose canopies near the top. Those canopies are built from soft dabs of teal, aqua, sage and cream that merge with the sky until the two are hard to separate. Below, a pale blue-white waterline runs horizontally, edged with a distant shore in olive green and a thin streak of apricot orange.
Small dark birds sit among the upper branches, drawn as quick flicks of dark paint. The surface shows visible flat-brush marks and a dry, scumbled texture across the sky, with softer horizontal strokes over the water. The overall character is calm and airy, a quiet waterside scene that reads almost abstract from a distance.
The tall, slim shape suits a narrow wall beside a doorway, a stairwell, or the space between two windows. It works in coastal and beach-house rooms, a pale living room, dining room or home office, and pairs with white walls, timber furniture, linen upholstery and pale rugs. Hang it with its matching companion piece for a taller, wider effect. Browse more blue art, brown and earthy art, or read Art above the bed: what size and how high.
