Stretched, ready to hang
Your canvas is stretched on a timber frame with the hanging wire already attached. Clean, frameless gallery look.
Floating frame
The stretched canvas sits inside a slim timber frame in white, black, natural or silver, with a small shadow gap around the edge. Delivered framed and ready to hang.
Rolled canvas
Just the printed canvas, rolled in a tube, if you would rather have it framed locally.
How our prints are made
- Museum-quality giclée print on heavy-duty archival canvas, using pigment inks that will not fade.
- Stretched on a thick timber frame with the hanging wire attached, so it goes straight onto the wall.

About Beach Dunes
A black and white photograph taken low on a sand dune, with clumps of marram grass filling the middle of the frame and leaning to the left as though pushed by wind. The sand in the foreground is pale and almost white, marked with shallow ripples, footprint hollows and the fine shadows cast by individual blades. Above, roughly half the frame is sky: streaked cloud along the horizon on the left, breaking into dark, torn cloud masses across the upper right corner.
Contrast is strong and the grain is fine, so the grass reads as thousands of bright hair-thin lines against deep shadow. The mood is windy and open rather than calm, a working coastline rather than a postcard beach.
Suits a coastal or beach house hallway, a bedroom above a timber bedhead, or a home office wall where colour would distract. Works with white and linen walls, jute rugs, rattan and weathered timber, and hangs well beside other black and white photography or a plain black floating frame. The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
