About Buddha Bright I
A Buddha head fills the square, seen straight on from the shoulders up. The face is modelled in teal and soft green with gold washing across the cheek, brow and chin, and the eyes are closed with long downward lids. Tight coiled curls run across the crown in pale aqua and white rings, rising to a flame-shaped ushnisha at the top. Behind the head, straight gold rays fan outward across a pale, cloudy background of cream, mint and grey.
The surface reads as layered washes with scraped and mottled patches, so the colour sits unevenly, like weathered bronze or verdigris on stone. The mood is calm and meditative rather than ornate, with warmth from the gold keeping the cool teal from feeling cold.
Suits a bedroom above the bedhead, a meditation or yoga corner, a bathroom with stone tiles, or a quiet home office wall. It works with pale timber, linen bedding, rattan and green indoor plants, and pairs easily with teal, sage or sandy neutral tones already in the room.
