About Melbourne Skyline at Dusk
A landscape photograph of central Melbourne taken at dusk from a wide concrete walkway. The sky grades from deep blue at the top to apricot and orange along the horizon, with thin grey cloud bands catching the last light. Eureka Tower rises dark and slender at centre, its upper floors picked out by small lit windows, flanked by lower towers and the white lattice spire of the Arts Centre at left. Trees line the riverbank as a dark band across the middle of the frame.
In the lower third, strip lighting under the handrail throws warm gold across the pale concrete deck, drawing the eye straight back towards the buildings. The mood is calm and orderly: a familiar city seen in the few quiet minutes between sunset and night.
Suits a living room, hallway or home office with a modern fit-out, and works well above a dark timber sideboard or a charcoal sofa.
