About Colourful Ink Wash
The square composition is built from vertical bands of colour running top to bottom. A bright magenta stripe holds the left edge, bleeding into soft pink and white where the pigment has thinned. Next comes a wide, near-black aubergine band with slightly feathered edges, then a pale cream strip, a single fine black line, and a broad sweep of soft green. On the right, olive and tan pooling gives way to crimson and hot pink at the outer edge.
The character is fluid and relaxed rather than geometric: the colours look poured and allowed to run, with watery blooms, streaks and uneven edges left visible. It reads as a calm, high-contrast abstract that carries a lot of colour without pattern or detail.
Works in a living room above a low sideboard, in a bedroom over the bedhead, or as a colour anchor in a home office. The magenta and green sit well against white or pale grey walls, pale timber furniture and linen upholstery.
