About Dance Fusion I
A single dancer fills this square composition, seen from behind and slightly below, arms lifted and head tilted back so her dark hair blurs with the movement. Her torso is wrapped in a black bodice built from broad, overlapping strokes, while her skirt spreads across the lower half of the canvas in wide arcs of white and cream, edged with red, teal and soft orange. The background is a flat warm grey, scraped and scratched so the weave of the original surface shows through. A white signature sits low in the right corner.
The figure is suggested rather than drawn: no facial detail, just gesture, weight and the sweep of fabric. Colour is held back to greys and creams so the short bursts of red and blue read as energy rather than decoration.
The warm grey ground suits living rooms with linen sofas, oak floors and brass or black lighting. It works above a bed, in a hallway, or in a home office where a single square piece is enough.
