About Delray Sea Turtle II
A large green sea turtle fills the right half of the square, seen from above and slightly behind, its shell a patchwork of olive, lime and deep teal panels outlined in dark ink. Front and rear flippers spread outward, mottled with navy scale markings. Below and to the left, a smaller turtle swims in the same direction, its shell painted in softer yellow-green washes. Thin strands of seagrass rise through the lower left corner in pale blue-green lines.
The water is built from transparent watercolour washes: bright white light at the top edge, drifting into powder blue and grey-teal towards the base, with feathered bleed marks and pale speckles where pigment has pooled and lifted. Edges stay loose and unfinished rather than filled to the border. The mood is calm and airy, a quiet underwater scene that reads clearly from across a room without feeling heavy.
Suits coastal bedrooms, bathrooms and beach-house hallways, and works well above a child's bed or a white timber console. Pair it with rattan, linen and pale timber, or hang it beside the matching turtle print for a two-panel set on a wide living room wall.
