About Double Decker Bus London
A red double decker bus fills the right of frame, its destination blind reading Waterloo 139 in yellow letters, Metroline badging across the front panel and a London number plate below the windscreen. A second red bus waits further back beside a sandstone building with columns and a grey dome, recognisable as the National Gallery at Trafalgar Square. Pedestrians cross the footpath at left, one couple pausing near a bicycle, while a cast iron lamp post and dark green street trees frame the pale sky.
The colour has been graded towards soft green and grey, so the road, sky and stonework sit muted while the two buses hold all the red in the picture. It reads as a quiet, slightly faded travel photograph rather than a bright postcard, with fine detail in the kerb lines, windows and figures.
Suits a home office, hallway or study where a travel photograph gives the wall a focal point, and works in a dining room above a sideboard. The muted green-grey tone sits well with oak, grey linen and black metal shelving, and a single red cushion or vase picks up the bus colour without repeating it.
