About Foggy Old Town
A wide cobblestone street curves from the bottom edge up into a bank of fog. On the right stands a pale multi-storey building with tall windows, several lit from inside, and a small domed column or advertising pillar set on a clipped grass verge beside a kerbed garden bed. Left of centre a large bare tree spreads its branches into the mist, its trunk dark against the glow. Distant streetlamps burn as soft haloed orbs of pale gold through the damp air.
The whole frame sits in cool slate blue and grey, with the wet cobbles catching just enough light to show every rounded stone. It is a quiet, still image, more hush than drama, with the warm window light giving the cold street a single point of comfort.
Suits a bedroom above the bedhead, a hallway with low lighting, or a study wall where the cool blues settle the room.
