About Gold Tree and Red Sky
The top half is a broad wash of crimson and hot pink, deepening to magenta near the upper centre and softening to coral where it meets the horizon. Below it sits a band of gold, amber and olive shapes read as a treeline, broken by thin dark strokes that cut upward like trunks and bare branches. The lower third is solid cobalt and royal blue water, streaked with paler blue and a single wedge of white. Colour is laid in flat, scraped blocks with visible directional drag marks.
The mood is high-key and graphic rather than gentle: three saturated bands of red, gold and blue pushed hard against each other, with the scratchy dark linework keeping the composition from turning into pure colour field.
Works where a room needs one strong colour statement: above a low sideboard in a dining room, behind a bed with white or grey linen, or on a plain wall in a beach house living area.
