A square composition filled with fern fronds rendered as flat, posterised shapes. The effect is closer to a screen print than a botanical study: hard-edged leaf shapes, no shading, and a limited palette of gold against blue-green. Texture comes from the speckled, broken blue ground rather than from the leaves themselves, giving the image a printed, slightly weathered surface.
