About Golden Morning II
Two trees stand at either edge of the frame, their canopies crowded with gold and rust-orange leaves that arch inwards and leave a gap of pale cream sky in the centre. The left tree shows a slim, straight trunk with branches splitting low; the right tree is heavier, its bark darker and more textured. Between them a still pond reflects the blank sky as a sheet of soft grey-white, bordered by dry reeds and tawny grass. The foreground ground is carpeted in fallen orange leaves.
Everything past the reed line dissolves into warm haze, so the scene reads as early morning light rather than sharp detail. The overall character is calm and symmetrical, a quiet autumn view held in a single golden tone from sky to grass.
Works in a living room above a linen or tan leather sofa, in a bedroom over a timber bedhead, or in a home office where warm colour is wanted without pattern.
