About Graffiti Orange II

A square abstract built from loose ink washes and quick calligraphic marks. A band of dark, scribbled script runs horizontally across the upper middle, trailing off to the left where the strokes thin out. Warm apricot and burnt orange wash spreads through the corners and down the right side, while a patch of acid yellow-green sits behind the script at the top. Scarlet flicks and drips fall through the centre like sparks, and heavy brown-black blocks anchor the lower right.

The paper ground shows through as pale cream in the middle, giving the composition air and keeping the darker marks legible. Texture reads as soft bleed at the edges of each wash, with dry, broken lines where the brush skipped. It has the feel of an unplanned, fast gesture: energetic and graffiti-like, but held together by the warm orange field surrounding it.

Works in a dining room above a sideboard, a home office, or a teenager's room where a bright focal point is wanted.
