About Habana Splendid
A deep royal blue background holds three objects arranged on a diagonal. At the top sits an open cigar box, its lid printed in bright orange with pale vertical stripes and a black diagonal band carrying the word Splendid in cream script. The words HABANA and ROND sit in small capitals either side, the second running off the edge of the frame. Below the box lies a single brown cigar, its rolled leaf catching a soft highlight along the top and showing a packed, flecked tobacco end. Bottom right, a matchbook fans out pink-headed matches.
The character is clean, graphic and confident, in the style of mid-century commercial poster art. Flat colour blocks and airbrushed shading give it a polished, slightly nostalgic advertising feel with a strong orange-on-blue contrast.
Suits a home office, study or gentleman's room, and works well in a bar area, games room or dining room with dark timber and leather. The strong blue reads well against white or grey walls, and pairs with other vintage advertising prints, brass lamps and navy or tan upholstery.
