A cream and tan hammock hangs slack between two tree trunks, tied to the left trunk with a pale rope. Around it, tall dark brown trunks rise in bold vertical strokes, and one large trunk on the right leans across the frame in warm ochre and chocolate tones.
The lawn is a saturated green, broken by patches of yellow-green sunlight that fall in uneven shapes across the grass in the foreground. Behind the trunks, blue-green shrubs and clusters of pale cream blossom form a loose band of foliage. The brushwork is thick and flat, in a contemporary painted-look style with visible strokes and little fine detail.
