About Leaf Pattern I
A solid black field holds a loose diagonal cluster of flat leaf shapes, arranged from the upper right down to the lower centre. Two long navy pointed leaves anchor the group, each ruled with fine horizontal lines like leaf veins. Between them sit two coral-red leaves marked with white teardrops and dots, and two rounded cyan shapes speckled with white spots. Smaller pink petal forms, filled with a scratchy crosshatch texture, drift below and beside the larger leaves.
The look is graphic and paper-cut: hard edges, no shading, and texture supplied only by printed lines, dots and hatching. Against the black ground the coral and cyan read almost fluorescent, giving the piece a playful, poster-like character.
Works in a bedroom, a bathroom or a hallway where a dark, high-contrast piece can sit alone on a pale wall. The black ground suits white or grey paint, timber floors and black-framed mirrors, while the coral, cyan and pink pick up brightly coloured cushions, ceramics or a patterned rug in a kids' room or dining space.
