About Lotus Bud
A single lotus bud fills the centre of this square image, photographed close enough to read the fine vertical ribbing running up each petal. The tightly closed tip is deep magenta pink, fading down through blush and cream to pale lime at the base. Two broad outer petals open outward, one catching the light along its edge, while low green sepals curl down and away from the stem. The background is a soft, mottled dark green that falls completely out of focus, with a faint second stem visible behind.
The character is quiet and contemplative: one flower, close light, and nothing else competing for attention. The muted green backdrop gives the pink petals a lit-from-within glow.
Works in a bedroom above a bedside table, in a bathroom or ensuite, or on a quiet hallway wall.
