About Confetti Chihuahua
A small chihuahua sits square to the viewer against a plain pale blue-white background, its two enormous triangular ears spread wide like wings. The ears and face are built from short, thick palette-knife dabs of red, green, cobalt blue, purple, grey, tan and black, laid side by side so the ridges of paint catch the light. A black cap of ribbed strokes sits between the ears, two glossy black eyes and a rounded grey muzzle anchor the face, and fine white whisker lines are scratched outward into the wet paint.
Below the head the body is comparatively small and simple: a black chest, an orange belly, thin white forelegs and a curling tail drawn in orange, blue and pink. The result is playful and graphic, a pet portrait handled like a mosaic of colour rather than a realistic study.
Suits a child's bedroom, playroom, family hallway or a vet clinic and grooming salon waiting area. The pale background sits easily on white or soft grey walls, and the confetti colours pick up brightly coloured cushions, rugs and toy storage. Hang it as a single square over a low bookshelf or bench. Browse more animal art, pop art, square paintings.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
